GeoRanger
Insitu developed GeoRanger with Fugro Airborne, based on the Insitu Insight UAS platform. GeoRanger is exclusively provided to Fugro for their geophysical survey services business. Fugro supplies and integrates the magnetometer and data collection electronics. GeoRanger is a long endurance unmanned aircraft with an extended nose that houses a commercial magnetometer and will fly preprogrammed routes in excess of 15 hours. Data from the magnetometer sensor can be stored on board or sent to the ground control station. GeoRanger can augment manned magnetometer flights by reducing costs and assuming much more risk — an ideal application for a low cost, long endurance unmanned system.

GeoRanger is designed and built for sophisticated remote sensing missions using advanced electronic instruments. GeoRanger is delivered with the customized payload capacity for a proprietary cesium magnetometer, plus a data collection expansion board for the modular avionics bay slot.
GeoRanger shares the same ground support systems as both ScanEagle and SeaScan and leverages the SkyHook vertical recovery system. SkyHook provides ideal recovery for geophysical missions in remote areas and at sea.
